On May 2nd local time, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new city was held in the Ishtihan Special Economic
Zone of Samarkand Oblast, Uzbekistan. Wang Xiaoyou, the chairman of Yishtihan Real Estate Company and the founding president
of Samarkand International University, along with representatives from the university, the district head of Yishtihan District, core members
of the local government, and representatives of enterprises, attended the event.
Wang Xiaoyou, the chairman of Ishtihan Real Estate Company, delivered a speech, stating that Uzbekistan is an
important partner of the Belt and Road Initiative, and Samarkand is a city with a long history and full of vitality.
We chose to invest here precisely because of the local superior policy environment, huge development potential
and profound cultural heritage. The Ishtihan City project embodies the wisdom of teams from both China and Ukraine.
It will adopt international advanced planning concepts to create a modern community integrating residential, commercial
and leisure functions, providing local residents with high-quality living Spaces.
As a Chinese enterprise, we are well aware of the importance of social responsibility. During the project construction process,
we will strictly abide by local laws and regulations, pay attention to ecological and environmental protection, give priority to
hiring local employees, and actively participate in community public welfare undertakings, truly achieving the development
goal of "co-construction, co-sharing and co-win".
Ishtihan District, as a benchmark demonstration area among the 208 administrative divisions in Uzbekistan, was officially approved as a national special economic zone by presidential decree in November 2024, thanks to its outstanding economic development achievements and strategic geographical advantages.
The government, academia and enterprises jointly draw the blueprint for developmentThe district head's endorsement: The district head personally serves as the "Chief Promoter",
demonstrating the district's first digital sand table system at the groundbreaking ceremony site,
showcasing the overall planning that includes residential, leisure, commercial, ecological and
residential areas.
School-enterprise cooperation: Samarkand International College will establish a "Special Zone
Development Research Center" to provide infrastructure talent and multilingual talent training
for the project.
Ishtihan Real Estate Company: Ishtihan Real Estate Company is the first real estate enterprise
in this area to have a model display system, bringing China's advanced and efficient construction
experience to Uzbekistan.
