On May 21, 2025, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of cooperation between the International College of Southwest University and Samarkand International College was grandly held at Southwest University. This signing ceremony marks a solid step forward for the two schools in the field of educational internationalization, injecting new impetus into deepening cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and Ukraine and serving the Belt and Road Initiative.

The signing ceremony was jointly presided over by Yu Zeyuan, the dean of the International College
of Southwest University, and Wang Xiaoyou, the president of the Samarkand International College.
Yang Ling, assistant to the president of Samarkand International College, Huang Wuwei, director of the Foreign
Students Admissions Office of Southwest University International College, and other relevant department heads
attended and witnessed the event. Both sides reached multiple consensations in areas such as talent cultivation,
scientific research cooperation, and cultural exchange, and signed a landmark cooperation memorandum.
The signing of the strategic cooperation memorandum between the International College of Southwest University and the Samarkand International College is an important practice in implementing educational cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, marking a new stage in higher education cooperation between China and Ukraine. Both sides will fully leverage their disciplinary advantages in agricultural science, education and teacher training, and other fields. Through resource sharing and complementary strengths, they will jointly create a new highland for cultivating international talents.
